Welcome!

Welcome to my Blog!

Having recently starting painting again, I wanted to be able to share my art work with friends and family. Perhaps you'll see something you like and forward my details to your friends too! My favourite subjects to paint include landscapes, architectural buildings and peoples homes.

At the moment...

I am working on a new collection of small paintings with an 'Australiana Working Animal' theme. They are really fun to paint!

I'll be putting them up on Red Bubble so you can buy a print, tote bag, phone cover, Tshirt etc of one of these delightful characters! I'm in the middle of painting a couple of goats and my friend sent me a very cute curly haired Alpaca (I thought he was a Llama!).

Visit to China recently

I recently visited China to go to the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, Beijing with 5 other West Australian Artists.

We spent a great week with Prof Huang and his students.  We hosted a Watercolour Exchange Exhibition along with the Professor and Students.  We also visited the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden Palace in Beijing.  The Professor is an amazing watercolourist in the realist style, and his students are following in his footsteps.  The food in Beijing was delicious and we spent long lunches and dinners trying new places to eat.

Our second week we got the Train to Shanghai and the Chinese Government hosted a second exhibition for us in Nantong which is south of Shanghai.  There was much ceremony at our Exhibition opening, ribbon cutting, newspapers and TV were there too!

I would love to return to Beijing and see more of the City and go back to the Uni - they were so friendly and accommodating....not to mention insanely talented!
